MIDDLESBROUGH FC fans are being asked not to travel to the fourth round FA Cup match against Mansfield Town unless they already have tickets.
The match at Field Mill kicks off at 12.30pm on Saturday 26 January 2008 and is expected to be a sell-out.

Chief Inspector Mark Holland of Nottinghamshire Police said: "Any Middlesbrough fans that have not got a ticket should simply not travel to the match.

"There will be a heavy police presence to allow those ticketed fans to travel to and from the ground in a safe and pleasant environment and to enjoy the match.

"Police officers will take an inference that if a fan travels without a ticket they will be here to cause trouble."

If police spot any Middlesbrough fans in Mansfield Town areas they will be ejected from the ground and there will be no transfers to other parts of the ground.

All pubs and bars within in the Mansfield ground area are working with the police to monitor group behaviour and will be closed at the end of the game.

Chief Insp Holland added: "We appreciate everyone's co-operation and we know that genuine fans will understand and adhere to the request."
