Summer signing O'Hare, who rose highest to head in Michael Blackwood's second half free kick, said: "It is my first goal in a long time, but the manager has set the defence targets to score some goals this season.
"We work every day on set pieces in training, understanding where you have to be. It was a great ball in and luckily I managed to get on the end of it.
"I last scored the season before last for Chesterfield, though really this is my second Mansfield goal as I did score in pre-season.
"When I scored for Chesterfield I went on a run of three goals in consecutive games . . . but I also have to make sure I am doing my job at the other end.
"We need to defend better as a unit, though with 16 new players at the start of the season we knew it was going to take time. But I thought we were fantastic at the back today, as a back five, with some resolute defending.
"Now it is upto us to stop conceding so many goals. With the quality we have up front we are alwaysa going to score goals.
"We need to go for the win at Altrincham on Tuesday; we don't to lag too many points behind the leaders.
"Everyone in the team has ambition to get back into the Football League and we have nothing to fear from other clubs.
"We are expected to be up there because the club has just come down from the Football League and the supporters want us to be up there.
