MANSFIELD Town owner Keith Haslam on Monday afternoon moved to quell increasing speculation about a takeover by insisting there would be no further buyout talks until May.
In a joint statement with chief executive Stephen Booth, he said: "There will be no discussions on any takeover until after the last match of the season (away at Dagenham on 3rd May).

"The focus now must be firmly on the next three games and keeping the club in the Football League."

Mr Haslam, who is out of the country on holiday, spoke out after it emerged on Monday morning that businessman Colin Hancock is among those wanting to buy the club.

Mansfield Town says it has also released the statement to end the frenzy surrounding the controversial entrepreneur John Batchelor, who has launched a high-profile publicity campaign in support of a bid to buy the Stags in recent weeks.

Agree with Micky Mouse. Whatever Haslam says is bound to be misleading. Bet the deal's done with Bachelor already. Once a Count, always a count.

-Plasline was a potential target, if I'm listed there it is a mistake. It was a deal we did not do.

Haslam its all a bit late to worry about what's happenning on the pitch if anyone believes it - you have nearly got what you wanted a club out of the league so you can sell it lock stock and barrel for some devolopment. I stll hold your entirely to account for the demise of the club but perhaps you should worry about the quarry about to go through your house - oh dear!

oh dear, what a farce, however, this once and this once ONLY,I will back what Haslam says.FOR GODS SAKE LETS STOP ALL THE BITCHING AND GET BEHIND THE TEAM FOR THE LAST 3 GAMES!!!!!!!(thats if we are still in it for the three games) All our "Boycotting" so called fans need to get down to the Mill,or, as Ive said before, WE MIGHT NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO BOYCOTT.once our fate is known we can attack Haslam,Booth,Batchelor or whoever.Untill then GET BEHIND THE TEAM!!!!!!

"I have a dream",as quoted by Martin Luther King....Haslam has a Heart Transplant and his new heart makes him respect the fans.He ploughs lots of money INTO the Club,we start to average 7500 fans at the Mill and we win our next 3 games, sending Notts down and then everythings rosey at the Mill.OH DEAR!!!!!!then reality kicks in.WE GO BROKE,GET 1600 FANS,LOSE OUR 3 GAMES,NOTTS STAY UP AND EVEN WORSE THE ODIOUS BATCHELOR TAKES CHARGE.....Now Ive started Bitching again,Sorry!!!!!!!!!!
