MANSFIELD Town should know their fate over the player registration issue being investigated by the Blue Square Premier League on Monday.
Stags have asked for a personal hearing which will take place at BSP headquarters in Birmingham and will be attended by all three of the club's new owners to put their case.

  • Ineligible players: Stags facing 2 investigations and points deduction?

The Stags believe they have a very strong case on the issue which is believed to relate to the non-receipt of faxed players' registrations.

Stags have enlisted the expert help of Football Factors – a company who specialise in advice over football administration matters who have worked with many top Premiership clubs.

Conference see sense? Haha. You're not a fully fledged member of the BSP unless you've had some points deducted for some spurious reason.

I've a feeling the BSP will want to make an example of us no matter how legitmate our arguments are. And what bigger example than the Stags to deter any further breaking/bending of the rules. We aint gonna get away from this mess Scot free, some measure of punishment will be dealt out to us I am sure. The severity of it who knows?

Makes you wonder what would have happened if Haslam was still in charge. I'd hazard a guess at us being automatically relegated with immediate effect, a £100000 fine and having to sell Field Mill to finance it!!
On the other hand, we now have 3 owners that 100% care about MTFC and its future and will do their utmost to clear our name.
If they fail, it won't be for the lack of trying, something which couldn't be said of the previous regime!!
Good luck to the 3 Musketeers!!
