Haslam (47), of Calver, denies failing to provide a specimen at the roadside and failing to provide a specimen at a police station on 11th November at Chesterfield.

The case was adjourned to 8th July and his unconditional bail was extended.

Haslam was due to stand trial this morning at Chesterfield magistrates, but it is undersood that his solicitor had submitted a doctor's report to the court asking for an adjournment because of the events at Field Mill last Saturday.

Then the owner was aassaulted by at least one angry fan, after some burst into the boardroom at the end of the 1-0 defeat by Rotherham which virtually sealed their relegation to non league football.

Haslam was taken to hospital for a treatment to a minor eye injury, but later discharged.

The following day he told Chad: "I am fine. I am shaken, yes, but I am not too bad." And on Monday he gave several interviews on national and regional television, talking about the incident and his efforts to sell the Stags.
