DESPITE leading through a goal by debut-making Emile Sinclair, struggling Mansfield Town slumped to a fourth straight defeat at home to Wrexham on Saturday afternoon.
Forest loanee striker Sinclair put the Stags in front on 27 minutes, punishing a poor backpass from Silvio Spann, but Wrexham were level four minutes later with Mike Williams burying a free header from a corner.

Man of the Match Marc Williams then stole the ball from Max Chanot to notch a 57th minute winner for which Mansfield had no answer as the Dragons recorded a third successive win under new boss Dean Saunders.
That all left the Stags - once the Conference's four-point deduction has been applied - just one point above the BSP relegation zone.
- McEwan hurt by Stags fans reaction
Stags, who have now only won one of their last eight games, lost their other debut-making loan player, Sam Wedgbury after only 43 minutes through injury.
Manager Billy McEwan made five changes with new boys Sinclair and Wedgbury making debuts. Also in were Chanot, back from suspension, Jeannin and Stallard.
Lee, Hurren and Somner all dropped to the bench with O'Connor and O'Hare out of the 16 altogether.
Wrexham included Simon Brown but their other ex-Stags striker Jefferson Louis missed out with a hamstring strain.
Early Mansfield pressure saw a D'Laryea shot blocked on the edge of the box.
Chanot conceded a free kick just outside the box on six minutes but the wall did its job in keeping Baynes' effort away from goal.
The Frenchman conceded another kick 30 yards out and this time Allen got the ball on target but Gamble was perfectly placed.
The early stages were littered with free kicks and the referee's patience ran out on 13 minutes as he cautioned Baynes for chopping down Blackwood.
Stags' first corner was cleared to Jeannin who volleyed wide of target.
Wrexham defender Tremarco stayed down after an aerial challenge with Arnold on 23 minutes and had to go off to be replaced by Spann.
A good burst of pace by Sinclair down the left saw him get to the by-line and cross low only to see Baynes cut out the danger.
On 26 minutes, from a quickly taken free kick, Marc Williams turned well in the box and saw his low shot take a wicked deflection off Moses to wrong foot Gamble but thankfully flew over the top.
Instead it was the Stags who roared in front on 27 minutes. Breaking away, Arnold slipped an inviting through ball for Sinclair to chase.
Spann got there first but his dreadful attempt at a backpass fell well short allowing Sinclair to run on, round the keeper and pass into the empty net on his debut.
However, the lead lasted just four minutes as the Dragons levelled from a right wing corner. Baynes put the ball over and Mike Williams was unmarked in the middle of the six yard box to power home an unstoppable header.
A quick throw almost caught Mansfield napping as Jeannin was left two on one but did well to get a vital tackle in on Marc Williams.
Mansfield had a huge let off on 38 minutes when Taylor's cross from the left sailed over Chanot to find Proctor completely unmarked seven yards from goal and he somehow guided a header wide of Gamble' right hand post.
Westwood's header was well off target from Baynes corner soon after.
When Chanot again fouled Marc Williams on 41 minutes he was yellow carded.
Mansfield lost debut-making Wedgbury two minutes from the break as he was unable to continue after winning an excellent tackle a few minutes earlier and limped off to be replaced by Hurren.
Sadly he was then seen being stretchered away at the break in some considerable pain.
Stags had a couple of hopeful moments before the break as an Arnold shot was blocked and the loose ball ran kindly for Wrexham and, soon after, Arnold fed Silk on the overlap and the right back crossed hard and low across the face of goal.
But it remained all square at the break.
A good pass inside the full back by Silk put Arnold in round the back and he found Hurren who was quickly crowded out but still got in a shot just the wrong side of the post on 50 minutes.
A minute later Marc Williams was booked for a challenge which left Chanot on the floor holding his face.
The Dragons took the lead for the first time on 57 minutes through the sheer tenaciousness of Marc Williams. Chanot appeared to be in control of the ball on the by-line but he was wrestled off the ball and robbed by Williams, the striker then flashing the ball past Gamble from six yards.
Hurren tried to get Sinclair away with a hoisted pass over the Wrexham defence but, having got there, the loan striker stumbled and then fired hopelessly wide.
Gamble produced the first real save of note in the game on 79 minutes as Baynes overlapped Spann and his cross was dummied by Marc Williams to let it run to Proctor whose vicious drive was turned round the post one-handed at full stretch to Gamble's left.
Five minutes from time Blackwood warmed Ward's hands with a low stringer from 25 yards but the keeper was always behind it.
Stags went for broke a minute later as defender Chanot was replaced by striker Robinson.
Hurren was furious when his flick at goal from a left wing cross struck Taylor's hand but the referee waved away penalty appeals.
Then Taylor came up with a great challenge in the box as Robinson looked set to shoot at goal from Arnold's flick-on.
Five minutes of time were added on and they even had a corner in an extra minute on top of that at the end, but still the lacklustre home side could not summon a moment of magic to save the day.
