STAGS striker Jefferson Louis showed off a golf ball size lump behind his ear after this afternoon's 2-1 win at Darlington where home defender Alan White's fist had connected in first half stoppage time.
Louis was given a rough ride by the home fans after that incident in which White was red-carded, but ended up all smiles he grabbed his third goal in four game before setting up Stephen Dawson for the winner.

It was the pivotal moment in the game as the Stags, trailing 1-0 at the time, came storming back to win with those second half goals from Louis and Dawson.

"I didn't see the punch coming, but as he spun round I knew he was going to hit me," said Louis.

"He caught me behind the ear where this big lump is.

"I am happy to score again. We just kept going. It seems when we play away to teams up there in the promotion places they like to get the ball down and play which suits us.

"I am very happy how things have gone so far and I have just been positive since I got here."

When I've been to watch the Stags at home, theres alot of fans that slag Billy off.
But the thing is hes made some great signing(loan or free). Just think what he could do if he was given some money to spend on people....
Maybe something like 500k, if we ever went on a good FA cup run and we were on the BBC twice
