BILLY McEwan is urging his side to get a run going and build on last weekend's home win over Salisbury when they travel to Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.
Like Stags, Rovers were among the early-season table-toppers and, like Stags, they have plumetted down to the wrong end of the table after a bad run.
- McEwan ready for tough away trips
Rovers have failed to win any of their last 12 BSP games, conceding 30 goals in the process, but they expect one or two of their injured players to be back in contention for Saturday's clash at the New Lawn and McEwan said: "We won't underestimate them.
"It will be a tough game. I know Jim's (Harvey) philosophy and he has been unlucky with injuries. But we know he has some quality players down there.
"But we had a good result last weekend against a decent Salisbury side and we need to get on an unbeaten run and build up some momentum.
"We have good players here that a lot of opponents would love to have in their teams. They command respect from fellow managers in the league and when we play them they know it will be a tough game.
"We have to make sure we keep it going and achieve as high a level of consistency as possible.
"I think people are now beginning to understand we are a Conference club and our players are Conference players and this is a very tough league. We are in a battle."
With a long haul to Weymouth ahead the following week, Stags know anything earned in the next two games will be earned the hard way.
But McEwan added: "The difference between home and away is a mental thing.
"It is just a different environment. Whether we played the opposition at Field Mill, at Wembley Stadium or on a training pitch, it's still the same players. The pitches are all green with white lines and a ref in the middle!
"We will go out to win every game. A draw is the least you get."
Michael Blackwood and Jason White are back doing light jogging with the Stags. But, apart from those, McEwan has no other senior players out for Saturday.

Rovers boss Harvey has caused a stir by stating that six of his side are not good enough and has already brought in a familiar face to Stags fans, Cheltenham Town midfielder Josh Low, on a month's loan.
Injured midfield pair Alex Lawless and Lee Fowler and defender Mark Preece could be back this weekend to boost Rovers though Ryan Robinson (back), Chris Thomas (virus) and Adriano Rigoglioso (groin) remain doubtful.
