THIS weekend represents last chance saloon for Stags fans to pick up the cut-price season ticket deal this week.
Mansfield Town confirmed that there will be no extension on the offer and anyone wanting to purchase one needs to do so by Sunday night, 31st May.

To help fans, Stags have extended their opening hours with Field Mill now open until 8pm on both Thursday and Friday and then from 9am-5pm Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday.

Fans will be able to purchase their new season ticket for £195 instead of last year's £320 cost, but the club need 3,000 paying adults to hit their budget.

From Monday adult ticket prices will go up to £300.

With the goalposts moving and the deal now going ahead, the club no longer plan to contact each supporter who had filled in a form but anyone not wanting to go ahead should call the club this week to cancel their application.

Stags had hoped to try to reach 3,000 adults sales to cover their planned budget for next season.

The club are counting two concessions as one adult and by Tuesday afternoon they had sold 1,263 adults to take the total to 1,674.

"This really is the last chance," said chairman Andy Perry. "It's a great offer and with U13s allowed in free with an adult it means a family of four could come to a game for £15 which is a fantastic price these days. You couldn't go bowling for that."

Mansfield have continued to take their season ticket roadshow around the locality and have asked Chad to clarify some of the most regularly asked questions by fans.

In particular they want to stress the many options for children aged U13 and explain it is better that an adult applies for multiple season tickets for U13s right now.

Q. How many U13 children can a season ticket holder bring to a match?
A. You can bring as many as you can 'control', even a neighbour's children, nephews or grandchildren. It does not have to be your own children. Proof of age is required.

Q. What is the extra charge for paying by Direct Debit?
A. Zero. There is no extra charge.

Q. Does the U13 on my ticket have to be accompanied by an adult if I cannot make the game?
A. Yes.

Q. When will my cheque or three cheques be cashed?
A. Anytime from now as the club have announced that they are honouring the £195 and £99 prices or on the date of the post dated cheques.

Q. When does the standing order payment start to go out of my account?
A. From 1st June or at another date to be agreed with the club.

Chairman Perry added: "Obviously announcing we would honour the price no matter what has had a great effect on pushing it. The momentum has been good.

"We have set our budget on 3,000 adults - that was the dream figure. But we did allow a few hundred pounds less.

"If we can't get there by the weekend then we will have to sit down and look at the budget again, though the playing budget will be the last thing we want to slash. We may have to rely on local businesses to help us out in other areas to try to make up any shortfall."

Perry reported good activity on the commercial side with packages available from £20,000 down to £25 and the good news is that almost all of the big price ones have been taken already.

The club are also enrolling vice-presidents at the cost of £1,000 per season. And they have used telemarketing with local companies, offering a pair of tickets to a game to try to drum up interest.

they will keep it going otherwise they wont sell anymore and they know that. they will also drastically reduce match day prices or the only folk going will be the far less than 2000 season ticket holders. they cant afford that to happen . its been a disaster although a brave effort by the club. i expect kids for a quid and adults nine quid, if not enjoy a ground with less than 2000.
