IRELAND U21 defender Kieran Murphy will NOT be joining the Ilkeston exodus for Mansfield Town.
Chad revealed on Saturday that rumours were linking new Stags manager David Holdsworth with a swoop for players at his old club Ilkeston Town.
But Murphy will not be following Holdsworth - and three members of his backroom staff - from the Robins to Field Mill . . . although the new manager said he hoped to bring in further new faces later in the week to add to the Monday signing of Curtis Woodhouse.
"I rate Keiran as a cracking centre half - the best in the Unibond Premier," said Holdsworth on Monday afternoon.
"But he is at university and it would be wrong to suggest he should pull out."
Another defender not coming to Field Mill, despite website rumours, is Mansfield-born Stephen Foster.
Foster told the Northern Echo: "The gaffer has just told me there's a rumour going around, but obviously there's nothing in it. "My mam rang me the other day and told me there's also rumour that I'm going to Mansfield. There's always rumours knocking about but there's definitely nothing happening.
"I've got another 18 months to go on my deal here, I'm captain and I enjoy that position. I came here to try and get the club into the next division and that's still the intention."

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international defender was at MK Dons last season when Holdsworth was a coach and moved to Ilkeston in the summer.
Earlier on Monday it was revealed that the Stags had confirmed the signing of Curtis Woodhouse.
