Stags winger Matt Hamshaw could play against Macclesfield Town this Saturday, despite his horrific afternoon at Shrewsbury on Saturday.
Hamshaw was stretchered off the field during the first half of Saturday's 0-0 draw at Shrewsbury Town after being flattened by a challenge from Marc Tierney and was taken to hospital with concussion after being given oxygen when his breathing passage became obstructed.

But manager Billy Dearden said today: "Apparently Matty never lost consciousness so he has a chance for Saturday.

"He was taken to hospital with a neck brace on for X-rays. We picked him up at 6.50pm after the doctor said he was okay to travel.

"We have told him to stay at home until Wednesday and I spoke to him yesterday and he sounded a bit brighter.

"We will have to see how he is day to day and it will be up to Matty and also getting clearance from a doctor if he can play on Saturday."

Nathan Arnold is another worry after taking a kick on the calf on Saturday.

He is not expected to train until Wednesday or Thursday.

And there will have to be an enforced reshuffle of a side that has gone unchanged and unbeaten for three games with defender John Mullins serving a one-game ban following his red card at the New Meadow.

Dearden could pull back midfielder Lee Bell to right back or even bring in someone on loan as cover.
