STAGS man of the match Emile Sinclair on Saturday night savoured a match-winning performance and the agreement to stay at Field Mill for a second month on loan from Nottingham Forest.
Sinclair (20) showed his skill and pace to race away to net his third goal for the club and put Stags on the road to a 3-0 win over Salisbury City on Saturday.

He then also won the penalty to make it 2-0 and twice came very close to another goal.

Sinclair, who has started six matches and been a substitute once in his first month at Field Mill, said afterwards: "It's good to see us get some goals today and it was nice to get on the scoresheet myself. I should have scored more really.

"We got a clean sheet as well so we are very happy.

"They had a couple of chances before we scored but we got the first goal we dominated the game.

"It was definitely a penalty - I told the linesman afterwards that he got it right!

"But I was a bit disappointed I didn't take it. I said I wanted to take it but Adnan (Ahmed) was having none of it - he wanted his first goal for the club.

"The gaffer said to me before to relax and play my game. We have started to gel and I am enjoying it so I am happy to stay.

"I had scored now and again for Forest reserves but since I came here feel much fitter and sharper.

"That is the best performance I have seen since I've been here, we played some good football and hopefully we can now start climbing the table."

It was due to be Sinclair's last game on the month's loan but manager Billy McEwan revealed afterwards the second month had been agreed.

"Everything has been agreed with Nottingham Forest and the player - it is just a question of the paperwork going through now," he said.

"It says a lot about Mansfield Town when we can attract players like that here. Forest have been very good about it.

"He has still got a lot to learn and still does some naive things which is at you get with a young player."

  • Stags sign Sinclair

The pacey striker has been on the fringes of the Forest first team this season - and last season scored against Gillingham during one of 17 substitute appearances for the Reds. This season Sinclair has made three substitute appearances for Forest.

He came to Field Mill on Thursday 16th October and scoring on his debut two days later in the home defeat to Wrexham.
