ON-LOAN Forest keeper Paddy Gamble CAN play against York City for Mansfield Town in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie this Saturday.
But Stags boss Billy McEwan is awaiting the Reds' decision on loanee striker Emile Sinclair who scored on his debut on Saturday and also needs to find out if he can use Sheffield United loanee defender Max Chanot.

But he will also be seeing if the Conference rules will allow his loan deal with the Blades for injured midfielder Sam Wedgbury to be annuled until he is fit again.

Wedgbury was forced off before half time in Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by Wrexham with a suspected broken leg.

However, a scan has now shown it to be only severe bruising and Wedgbury will be out up to 10 days before he can run again.

McEwan said:"Thankfully it isn't as bad as we feared. But I will still see if the Conference will annul the loan as it is a waste of a loan to have him here if he can't play.

"But he is a player I would look at bringing back if he can get fit."
On Saturday Stags were without Alan O'Hare (illness) and Aaron O'Connor, who reported to the ground with an injury on the morning of the match.

Both are back in light training and have a chance for Saturday - O'Connor the better chance.

McEwan is still hopeful of adding to his squad before the York game as well. "I am not promising anything but I hope so," he said.

Good to see he doesent want to have a loan player who isnt going to be able to play for a while and will hopefully mean we can get an attacking mifielder in which is what we need, i want to see us get into 1st round of fa cup as any money gained is good and being in the fa cup is another good attraction to bring in players aswell.

Ditto Dot!!!!Sod the FA CUP.A good Cup run is ok,but I`ll take Promotion over one ANYTIME.It may bring dosh into the Club, but so would a promotion push!!!!!
Mind you, I suppose getting to the 3rd round, pulling Man U & beating them would be ok,though we`d probably have Adam weeping over his PC

to be honest i dont rate Chanot, he had a good first game then he picks up far to man cards. Gamble seems to be making costly mistakes after the good start!

Cambridge United manager Gary Brabin has confirmed that he is interested in signing Grays Athletic centre-back Jon Ashton.

The 26-year-old defender has also been linked with league rivals Stevenage Borough and Brabin is surprised that no other clubs have lodged their interest in the player.

Ashton was recently made available on a free transfer, along with the rest of the Grays Athletic squad, after the current financial climate forced the club to cut players' wages by 50 per cent.

we should try get this lad in.

perfect chance on saturday to give knight his debut and to give others like robinson a chance, i think robinson is poor but maybe if he gets a chance he might take it.

Hoping for a win to get some confidence back but i agreee wiv delboy and dot that the league is way more important i say keep wedgebury if he is ok and get another attacking midfielder in because wedgebury looked better than d'laryea in the short time he played

KEEP THE FAITH FELLOW STAGS IT CAN ONLY COME GOOD( I HOPE)
