ON-LOAN Forest keeper Paddy Gamble CAN play against York City for Mansfield Town in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie this Saturday.
But Stags boss Billy McEwan is awaiting the Reds' decision on loanee striker Emile Sinclair who scored on his debut on Saturday and also needs to find out if he can use Sheffield United loanee defender Max Chanot.
But he will also be seeing if the Conference rules will allow his loan deal with the Blades for injured midfielder Sam Wedgbury to be annuled until he is fit again.
Wedgbury was forced off before half time in Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by Wrexham with a suspected broken leg.
However, a scan has now shown it to be only severe bruising and Wedgbury will be out up to 10 days before he can run again.
McEwan said:"Thankfully it isn't as bad as we feared. But I will still see if the Conference will annul the loan as it is a waste of a loan to have him here if he can't play.
"But he is a player I would look at bringing back if he can get fit."
On Saturday Stags were without Alan O'Hare (illness) and Aaron O'Connor, who reported to the ground with an injury on the morning of the match.
Both are back in light training and have a chance for Saturday - O'Connor the better chance.
McEwan is still hopeful of adding to his squad before the York game as well. "I am not promising anything but I hope so," he said.
