STAGS boss Paul Holland will have an exciting looking Stags squad for the new season assembled by Monday lunchtime – if he is given the go-ahead tomorrow.
Though the silence on the expected takeover deal continues to drag on, Holland firmly believes its is so close now that it will done in time for him to call players he wants by tomorrow night and invite them in on Monday.

All this, of course, assumes he will be kept on as manager. But he has had a good turn out of last season's players for the first two days of pre-season training and said: "We could literally go from nine signed players to 21 or 22 by Monday lunchtime.

"I could have our full squad in training which would be great.

"This week we have had Keith Briggs, Jon D'Laryea, Jake Buxton, the Boulding brothers and Carl Muggleton from last season all come in to train and I would love to get them all signed.

"They all know the situation and are being very patient as are the other players elsewhere who are waiting on my phone call. They are still very keen but we really can't afford to wait much longer.

"I know Jake has said he wants to stay in the League but nothing has happened yet.

"And I know Mickey has had offers to go elsewhere in the League, but I have had a good chat with him and am still very, very hopeful we can keep him here.

"It's a good sign that he has come back here pre-season training and he looks in great shape as they all do. They have all looked after themselves."

Great work Mr Holland under the circumstances. Surely the legal eagles are finished with their loose ends, can Mansfield Town F.C. now, please make a full, accurate and honest statement.

The club has lost any remaining credibility after K H's drawn out demise as Chairman, with the constant to and fro of mixed messages half truths and misinformation.

We expect some clarity.

We are more than due at least this.

Please deliver a logical straight forward semblance of a real statement now!

See you at Ebbsfleet.

Mr Haslam & Mr Hancock, which ever of you is in charge at the beginning of the season - surely it would be of benefit to you to have a squad of 21-22 players in place rather than wait for the so called "official" announcement to find that Paul's targets have now lost interest.
You both must have knowledge of how much Paul wants in his budget, just pick up the phone now and agree to let Paul go to market and bring them in now.
You've left it too late to put soembody else in the manager seat and then bring together a team in readiness. Paul has proven throughout this whole mess, that he is loyal and has strived to keep players interested.
Repay him now, Make his day, make our day; both agree right now to give him the GREEN LIGHT.

To be quite frank Dutch ANY SQUAD would be exciting at the moment. But what sort of quality will it be ,good enough to challenge for promotion? I hope so but doubt it with this calamitous summer takeover dragging on and on and on and o......

Frankly I'm gobsmacked that Paul has a dozen or so players of a certain quality lined up, wages agreed and all they need is to sign on the dotted line.

So they'll all sign up on Monday providing Haslam sells.

Don't know why I've been panicking !
