Stags boss Billy Dearden faces a dilemma over whether or not to name Jon D'Laryea on the bench for Saturday's visit of Macclesfield Town.
The midfielder has been out injured since March but safely came through 75 minutes of a second reserve friendly yesterday against Notts County.

There was no adverse reaction from his ankle overnight and he trained normally today.

But Dearden said: "I am torn over what to do about Saturday.

"It would give us and Jon a boost to have him on the bench. But he is not ready yet.

"He could not start the game. Ideally you would be winning and bring him on with 10 minutes left.

"But I know it is possible to lose both your central midfielders in the first 10 or 15 minutes and Jon is not fit enough to play for 80 minutes.

"We are looking at all aspects of it and will make a decision."
