JON D'Laryea will play his first football in seven months tomorrow afternoon when Stags reserves take on Crewe Alexandra reserves in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Field Mill.
His return to action was first revealed at Chad.co.uk on Saturday.

The midfielder has suffered an extended injury lay-off after two ankle operations but should be back on the bench in the next two weeks.

"Jon will play at least half a game tomorrow and then we will take it from there," said manager Billy Dearden.

"We decided not to chance it with putting him on the bench last Saturday in the end. If we had lost a midfielder after 10 minutes and then another after 20 we would have felt a bit foolish having to throw him on when he was not quite right.

"I thought we were asking a bit too much. But he was in the squad and, although tomorrow's 45 minutes is not enough to get his fitness back, he is the type of lad you know you can rely on and I won't hesitate to have him on the bench at Shrewbsury if he feels all right.

"Tomorrow will be good for one or two of them to get a game under their belts."

Stags midfielder Stephen Dawson is on the treatment table today after picking up a dead leg in Saturday's 2-0 win over Notts County but should be fit by Saturday.
