The answer would have been an awful lot of the disused Bishop Street Stand, after the Match of the Day team said it was unsafe to erect a gantry in the condemned area.

However, the stand, which does not hold a safety certificate and has not been used by supporters for a while, will now be 'covered up' by fencing boards - thanks to the efforts of mayor Tony Egginton and Mansfield firm Baggaley Construction.

The BBC's main cameras will be situated at the back of the directors' box in the upper area of the West Stand – and focussed mainly at the Bishop Street area.

To try to improve the look of the ground – and so present the club in a better light to prospective buyers and the town to a nationwide audience – Mr Egginton has arranged for the stand to be fronted by specialised 8ft high boarding fencing.

Mansfield District Council has sorted out the engineering and architectural side of the project and the boards have been funded by Baggaley.

The well known Mansfield firm has just started its centenary year and its slogan - Baggaley since 1908: Celebrating a centenary in construction' - will be displayed along the boarding; together with the slogan 'Helping regenerate Mansfield District'.

The boarding will remain in place once the cup tie is over – giving the Stags a chance to increase its revenue from advertising hoardings in that area.

Mr Egginton said: "It is a big thank you to Baggaley who responded to a call from me.

"Baggaley have been national ambassadors putting Mansfield on the map for 100 years and this is a fitting tribute."

Stags chief executive Stephen Booth added: "The mayor has been of extreme assistance.

"The key is to make the view more aesthetically pleasing for the TV viewers. If this also brings in additional revenue, then all well and good, but that is not the key with this at the moment."
