STAGS midfielder Lee Bell may now be out of action for the rest of the season.
Earlier this week Chad reported how he looked to set to miss at least a month after damaging knee ligaments in Saturday's 2-1 away win at second-placed Darlington.

Battling Bell finally limped off after going down a second time and club physio Paul Madin told Chad: "We suspect medial ligament damage. We can't predict how long he will be out yet."

But on Wednesday Bell told the club's official website mansfieldtown.net: "I think I will be out for the rest of the season.

"I can barely move my leg and haven't slept for the pain.

"I would say I will be out for a minimum of two months and that takes out most of the season."

Bell may also face an operation after a trip to the specialists this coming weekend.

He added: "I knew it was quite serious at the time when I went to the ground, but I wanted to carry on playing."
