3 star lots at SFU Sportsman's Dinner

AN ENGLAND 1966 World Cup shirt signed by nine of the winners is one of the lots at the Stags Fans United Sportsman's Dinner next week.
Various items of sports memorabilia are being auctioned at the dinner as the SFU continues its fundraising drive.

Among the other items sure to attract plenty of interests are a pair of signed Joe Calzaghe gloves and a signed photo of 'Gazza' celebrating his famous Euro 96 goal against Scotland.

Tickets are still available for the dinner, also featuring guest speaker Duncan McKenzie and including other Stags legends - among them Richie Barker, Chris Greenacre, Sandy Pate, Kevin Bird and Jimmy McAffrey.

It is part of the SFU's drive to raise upto £250,000 to invest in the football club in return for a seat on the board and the chance to buy more shares.

The dinner takes place at the John Fretwell sporting complex on 24th September, 7pm.

Tickets, priced £35, also include a three-course dinner, a comedian and an auction of sother porting memorabilia and are still available until Saturday, contact Richard Sharp on 07814737946 or email sfudinner@hotmail.com.

Among the other sports memorabilia to be auctioned are signed international football shirts, signed Stags' players shirts, a signed Nottinghamshire County Cricket bat, tickets for an England Rugby Union international game at Twickenham and a wide range of Stags memorabilia and photos.
