Triathlon club look to build

IN their first season of competition Mansfield Triathlon Club juniors achieved solid placings in the Midlands Inter-Club Children's Series.

The series, which consisted of 10 triathlons, was held over the spring and summer and pitted the region's best junior triathletes against each other.

Leading the Mansfield placings was Cameron Stott, who achieved third place in the boys TriStart (eight-years-old and under).

Aoife Allison finished in seventh place in the Girls TriStar 3 (13 to 14 years old), while in the Boys TriStar 2 (11 and 12-year-old) Ryan Coupland and Cormac Allison completed the series in 12th and 14th places respectively.

The next series starts again in April 2010, where Mansfield will be looking to build on this year's successful results.
