STAGS substitute Keigan Parker was the local derby hero with a 77th minute winner as Mansfield staged a powerful second half FA Trophy replay fightback at neighbours Alfreton Town last night.
The Reds deservedly led at the break thanks to Matt Wilson’s 16th minute opener in a tight half with few chances and Stags disappointing.
But Mansfield upped the necessary gears after the break and Connor twice forced saves from Ross Turner before beating him on the hour for his 15th goal of the season.
The winner came 17 minutes later, albeit via a deflection off Jake Moult only nine minutes after Parker had replaced Moult’s brother Louis and it is a goal that will have Stags dreaming of a Wembley final in May.
