The Wolf Hunt are currently second on points in the league with away wins at Derby, Coventry Bears and last weekend a successful visit to Rochdale saw them beat their first northern prey, the Rochdale Cobras.

Boston have played one successful game so far, beating Derby City 48-14 in June and are likely to be a stiff test with many players from the Lincolnshire rugby union scene trying their hand at League.

Coach Carl Hardwick will take charge along with captain Glen Holt, both former Garibaldi men. Hardwick said: “We’ve had a great start with a few hiccups, but now is time to really nail our game plans.

“We are big and fast and we will be trying to wear down Boston with those assets.”

The Wolf Hunt will be at home the following week, again against Boston and that promises to see a large crowd see the return game.

This week will be an interesting test on how the Wolf Hunt deal with a mixed squad made up of mainly rugby union players.
