EVO-STIK League Division One South club Rainworth MW’s pre-season schedule is taking shape.

So far the Wrens have agreed dates away to Central Midlands League North outfit Parkhouse on Tuesday, 12th July (7.30pm), and will visit Northern Counties East opponents on successive Saturdays in July when they go to Retford United on 23rd July and Arnold Town on 30th July.

On the home front it is understood that Boston United are expected to visit Kirklington Road subject to a date being agreed, while Blue Square Bet Premier neighbours Mansfield Town will visit on Saturday, 9th July (3pm) with a side made up of a mixture of first team and youth players.

Wrens joint boss Billy Millar has also been in touch with newly promoted Blue Square Bet Premier outfit Alfreton Town, for whom he was a popular goalkeeper some years ago, but is awaiting a response from Reds boss Nicky Law.

Meanwhile Rainworth have named Adrian Smith and Kevin Wilson as their new reserve team managers for the coming season.

As in previous years Rainworth will continue their policy of not announcing any comings and goings in respect of their playing staff for the new season until registrations become binding in July.

The club are holding a summer BBQ and family fun day at their Kirklington Road ground on Saturday, 25th June from 4pm, when sponsors will be invited, while presentations from season 2010-11 will also be made. Everyone is welcome at the event.
