Charlotte Henshaw launches own Facebook page to chart London 2012 progress

PARALYMPIAN Charlotte Henshaw today launched a new Facebook page to allow people to follow her progress towards London 2012.

The Facebook page will be regularly updated with news, views and links in the build-up to the Paralympics. The page can be found by searching for “Charlotte Henshaw” on Facebook and looking for the athlete page.

Developing the page is the latest stage in a series of moves undertaken by Charlotte as she seeks to harness local support in her preparations for the games.

Charlotte, who can also be found on Twitter @chenshawgb said: “I am really keen to keep people up to date with my preparations for London, and using social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook is a great way to do that.

“It means that people can find my latest news quickly and easily should they wish to do so”

In recent weeks, Charlotte has also unveiled a new website at www.charlottehenshaw.co.uk and appeared in the Manchester United Disabled Supporters Magazine. She will also be writing a series of blogs for the Chad over coming weeks, as she charts her preparations for London.

Charlotte’s agent, Chris Whitaker also added: “Working with the local community is a key priority in what we do with Charlotte outside of her training. Charlotte is proud to represent the people of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and Great Britain as a whole, so we’ll be working hard to keep everyone posted with all the latest news.”
