Glamorgan, who were asked to follow on after trailing Notts by 261 on first innings, were again struggling in their second innings, and at lunch were 71 for 3, still 190 runs behind Notts’ 448.

Luke Fletcher soon made inroads when, with his first, and the seventh ball of the innings, bowled Nick Selman for 3, the batsman offering no stroke, as the ball clipped his off stump.

Jacques Rudolph and Will Bragg played watchfully to share a partnership of 51 for the second wicket, before both batsmen were dismissed in successive overs. Bragg, attempting to clip a ball from Harry Gurney ball through mid- wicket, was out leg before for 30, then Rudolph, who had faced 57 balls for his 14, nicked one from Brett Hutton to the stand in wicketkeeper Ricki Wessels.

Colin Ingram was 10 not out at the interval, and Aneurin Donald, who made 53 in the first innings, on 6.
