Zygabyte Old Bats took a big step towards the Division two title in the Mansfield Table Tennis League after beating Jacksdale D 10-0.
Matt Williams won player-of- the-match, with Rob Vaughan and Ralph Rodda making up the team and all winning their games.
In the first fixture Jacksdale D actually beat Old Bats 7-3 so this was a big turnaround for the Old Bats in their title push.
The win moves Old Bats joint top and, with a game in hand, makes them title favourites.
Boothys, who are Joint top with Old Bats, won the battle of the Boothy’s despite a maximum from player-of-the-match Andy Bunting for Boothy’s Ravens.
Derek Clarke, Rod Sampson and Bob Angus all won their other two games as Boothy’s came out 7-3 winners to keep the pressure up on their rivals for the Division Two title.
Ravenshead Rebels recorded their first win since Oct after beating Hucknall 50+ 6-4. Dick Johnson, for Hucknall, won all his three games and won player-of-the-match.
But it was not enough as Rebels took the tie with Laurence Taylor and Phil Stringer both winning two matches and combining in the doubles
In Division One Junior Stoddart Maintained his 100 per cent record for the season and won his sixth player-of-the-match award as he guided the Rascals to a 9-1 victory over Jacksdale B.
Martin Dean lost his 100 per cent record after losing to Kalpesh Bhatt 3-2. This was the only point won by Jacksdale A on the night.
Zygabyte A did the 10-0 double this season over Jacksdale C, with Bob Hume claiming player-of-the-match backed up by Dean Brookes and Joe Zygadlo.
These results mean Zygabyte A have clawed one point back on the Rascals, but with Rascals still 17 points clear with three games to go the title looks destined for the Rascals.
