Zygabyte A have one hand on Mansfield and District Table Tennis League title

Jacksdale B moved 10 points clear of Ravenshead Riots into second spot in Division One of the Mansfield and District Table Tennis League after a win over their rivals.

Jacksdale won 7-3 with Kalpesh Bhatt the only player to win all his matches on the night.

Zygabyte A continued their dominance with a 10-0 victory over Ravenshead Rhinos to move them 14 points clear of Jacksdale B and give them one hand on the title.

In the other matches this week Jacksdale A and Jacksdale C played out a 5-5 draw with Zak Melrose starring for A winning all his singles, and Zygabyte B beat bottom of the table club Boothy’s 9-1.

Amber Zygadlo won her second Player of the Match award of the week in this match as she had also played up for Zygabyte A on Monday.

In Division Two all results went to form with top of table Angels beating Jacksdale D 7-3.

Adrian Smith and Andy Brown continued their dominance winning all their singles, but surprisingly lost out in the doubles.

Snipers of St Joseph’s beat Ravenshead Rebels 9-1 with Erlands Skels and Jim Westwood both winning all their games.

Hucknall 50+ beat Ravenshead Ravens 7-3 and River Maun beat bottom club Spin Doctors 7-3 with captain Mark Sansom leading the team with victories in all his matches.

Angels remain top with a five point lead over the Snipers, but the Snipers still have a game in hand so it’s too close to call at the moment.

Hucknall 50+ are only five points behind the Snipers making for an exciting Division Two title race.
