Sutton boxer Jordon Turner drew a fight with Anwar Alfadi in Rotherham on Saturday night.

Alfadi, who is based at the famous Ingles Gym which is the base of world champion Kell Brook, was a replacement opponent after Turner’s original opponent pulled out injured.

Alfadi, who has had over 50 professional fights and who has boxed numerous champions including most recently world champion Paul Butler, was desperate for the win.

Alfadi, in typical Ingle trained style, was very tough and extremely tricky, and it took jordon a few rounds to find his range and work out the awkward style.

The last rounds were all Turner’s through his workrate and fitness, but giving the early rounds away cost him the contest.

Next up for us is cruiserweight prospect Dan Cooper making his professional debut on December 13th in Leicester.
