Sherwood Colliery swimmers swapped costumes and caps for dancing shoes recently to celebrate at their annual presentation evening.

Before the celebrations began, however, there was the small task of the Notts ASA Stage 3 gala final, at which Sherwood finished second on the night and third overall, and prior to that, Round One of the country’s premier swim competition, The National Arena League, in Louth.

Drawn against stiff opposition from much larger clubs, Sherwood battled to a superb third place in Division One, behind City of Milton Keynes and Lincoln Vulcans A squads, setting them up for round two in Peterborough later this month.

Away from competition, Sherwood’s Amelia Sale, Daniel Timms, Kieran McGinley and Imogen Gould, joined fellow Nova Centurion members at the British Gas ASA National County Team Championships, as part of the Nottinghamshire team at Ponds Forge.
