Ravenshead Rascals move to top of Mansfield and District Table Tennis League

The top two teams in the Mansfield and District Table Tennis League clashed for the first time this season with Ravenshead Rascals coming out on top.

They proved far too strong for Zygabyte A as they emerged 8-2 winners to increasing their lead against their rivals by seven pts at the Top of Division One.

Both teams went in to the fixture with unbeaten records and with two players from each side having 100 per cent records.

Conrad Stoddard once again got the man-of-the-match award and kept his 100 per cent win record along with team mate Adam Feargrieve.

Rascals now have the advantage and the return leg will be much anticipated.

Ravenshead Riots came back from 4-1 down to draw 5-5 with Jacksdale B in what was the first draw of the season in either division

In the other Division One match Zygabyte B bt Jacksdale C 9-1, to claim their first win of the season.

In Division Two Ravenshead Rhinos maintained their unbeaten record making it five wins out of five beating Jacksdale D 8-2 and moving into second place five points behind the leaders, but they have a game in hand.

Richard Robinson was player of the match winning all his games.

Division Two Leaders Boothys stayed top with a close fought match against the New Cross Snipers beating them 6-4.

Zygabyte Old Bats continued their great start to the season beating Ravenshead Rebels 7-3, Rob Vaughan making is Debut was player of the match.
