Ravenshead Rascals have one hand on the Mansfield Table Tennis title after a 10-0 win over rivals Zygabyte A.

The win puts them 18 points clear with four games to play and it looks like for only the second time in 11 years that the Division One title will not go to Zygabyte A.

The team of Adam Feargrieve, Junior Stoddart and Gareth Godber took the clean sweep of all matches on the night in a commanding display.

Other results saw Ravenshead Riots beat Jacksdale B 6-4, even though they only took thwo players to the game and therefore started the match 3-0 down. John Watson’s 100 per cent record on the night saw them to a victory.

And Zygabyte B moved to fourth with a 9-1 victory over Jacksdale C with David Hodgkin winning player-of-the-match.

In Division Two, there was a lot of action involving the teams at the top.

Boothys, who are top, played two games this week beating the Snipers 6-4 with Bob Angus starring winning all his matches.

They then lost 8-2 to title rivals Zygabyte Old Bats with Matt Williams winning player-of-the-match. This result blows open the title race, especially as the Old Bats this week also beat Ravenshead Rebels 10-0.

Rhinos, who sit in third, also played twice this week beating Jacksdale D 9-1, and drawing 5-5 with the New Cross Snipers. Steve Scott won player-of-the-match in both games after remaning unbeaten. In the other Division Two match the Angels drew with Hucknall 50+ 5-5.
