Ravenshead Rascals look ominous on their charge towards the Division One title as they remain unbeaten.

They beat Jacksdale C 10-0, which is the third time this season that they have won by the maximum margin, to move eight points clear of nearest rival Zygabyte A.

Junior Stoddart (player-of-the-match) did not lose an end in a dominant performance.

Ravenshead Riots only turned up with two players in their match vs Zygabyte B, but with player-of-the-match John Watson winning all his matches they still had a chance of a draw on the night going into the doubles 5-4 down.

However the Zygabyte B pairing won the fifth end 11-8 to win the match 6-4.

In Division Two a maximum from player-of-the-match Derek Clarke helped Boothy’s to a 7-3 win over Jacksdale Miners Welfare.

Bob Angus, for the home team, and Josh Hall, for the visitors, both won two games before Derek teamed up with Rod Sampson to win the doubles and maintain Boothy’s title challenge and remain top of the league.

Boothys Ravens made it a Boothys double in Division Two as they moved to second with an 8-2 victory over Hucknall 50+.

Stan Zygadlo won his third player-of-the-match of the season winning all his matches.

Dick Johnson, for Hucknall, won two of his three games, but these were the only points won by Hucknall on the night.

Ravenshead Angels beat Ravenshead Rebels 8-2 with Lisa Lewis and Adrian Smith winning all their matches and combining to take the doubles.

Battling Adrian Smith didn’t make it easy though and had to draw on all his resources as he came from 2-1 behind against Fionna Ridgewell, 2-0 behind against Jim Westwood and 2-1 behind in the doubles.
