ENTRIES are now being taken for this year’s Rainworth Skoda Dukeries Rally as cars from all over the country prepare to roar around the local forests next month.
Regulations and entry forms are available to download from the event website www.dukeries-rally.co.uk.
The rally, which will bring competitors from all over the UK to its base at Southwell Racecourse, takes place on Saturday, 9th June andwill be the 53rd consecutive time that the organisers, Dukeries Motor Club Ltd, have promoted it.
Rainworth Skoda once again take on the mantle of headline sponsors of the largest motorsport event of its type in the East Midlands, a role they have undertaken with great enthusiasm since first coming on board in 2004.
The 2012 Rainworth Skoda Dukeries Rally is a qualifying round of the REIS – Get Connected BTRDA Rally Series, incorporating the REIS – Get Connected BTRDA Gold and Silver Star Championships, the Millers Oils BTRDA 1400 Championship, the rallyschool.co.uk BTRDA Rally First Championship, the DMack Tyres BTRDA Historic Cup and the MG ZR Rally Challenge.
The event also welcomes contenders for the SWISHER MSA English Rally Championship, the Competition Car Insurance EMAMC Stage Rally Championship, the Fuchs Titan Race ANCC Stage Rally Championship, the Roadrunner/Phoenix Awards ANEMMC Rally Championship and the Ward Construction AEMC Stage Rally Championship.
Following some unavoidable changes to the planned route of this year’s event, the standard entry fee has been pegged at £360 and, in an attempt to encourage competitors to sample forest rallying, the cost is further reduced to just £310 for any driver entering their first forest rally and for all registered BTRDA Rally First drivers.
