Mansfield’s Charlotte Henshaw looks to seal London 2012 Paralympic place at British International Disability Swimming Championships

MANSFIELD swimmer Charlotte Henshaw is hoping it will be home sweet home when she returns to Sheffield for her last chance to qualify for the London 2012 Paralympics.

Despite swimming the second fastest time of the year, Henshaw failed to meet the strict qualifying time of 1:40:87 and now has one last chance to qualify at the British International Disability Swimming Championships at Ponds Forge between 6th to 8th April.

Henshaw, who narrowly missed out on a medal during the Beijing games four years ago when she was pushed into fourth place, admitted to being overwhelmed by the pressure and her own nerves during the first selection trials at London’s Aquatics Centre earlier this month.

But focused Henshaw is determined to keep her dream alive in the familiar surroundings of Ponds Forge.
