Mansfield and Ashfield’s young swimming elite will converge on Coventry and Sheffield over the next three weekends to compete against the best talent from across both the combined East and West Midland and North East regions at the Regional Age Group Championships.
Representing Sherwood Colliery and Sutton SC, and also swimming as part of the premier, competitive Nova Centurion and City of Sheffield squads, swimmers Abbie Scott, Chloe Quinn, Ellis Malson, Evie Timms, Hollie-Mae Dove, Jim Fergie, Joseph Sadler, Katie Mellors, Kelsey Edwards, Lily Boseley, Matthew Woodhall, Mia Fergie, Natalee Meldrum, Nicholas Meldrum, Nicola Peach, Owen Ottaway, Rebecca Flisher and Rebecca Hyatt will compete in heats and finals across a range of strokes and distances for Regional titles and medals after successfully achieving the tough qualifying times.
The meet will include a repeat showdown between Sherwood Colliery &and Nova Centurion’s, British Swimming Championship 100 and 200m backstroke finallist, Lily Boseley and Ellesmere College’s Ellinor Southward.
It also acts as a ‘last gasp’ qualifying opportunity for British Swimming’s new, invitation-only British Summer National & Home Nations Championships being held in Sheffield in July & August.
