Boss Adam Murray said he is content with the games still to come with the option of a behind-closed-doors friendly or two if needed.

Stags were due to face Championship club Blackburn on Tuesday, July 26 only to have the game cancelled when the sides drew each other in the EFL Cup two weeks afterwards.

“It won’t be anything that will be an official game now,” said Murray.

“Obviously Blackburn are running scared of us as they cut the game!

“We understood why they wanted the game called off.

“Now we might throw in a behind-closed-doors game, possibly next week, just to work on our shape more than anything.

“But we are happy with the games we’ve got. We have two games on Saturday, we’ve got the Alfreton and Worksop games that will give us different tests, and then we’ve got the games here. So overall, we’re happy.

“We might throw a couple in just to get the minute banks up on a couple of the players.

“But the training ground work at the moment is just as important and the game is not really a major loss for us.”
