After a delay for breaking the ice the Tuesday Open Sherwood Forest Fishery’s match was reduced to 4.5 hours.

The fishing was hard with Andy Lakey coming out top fishing the pole and maggot for a mixed net of roach and perch for 8oz.

The Wednesday Open was moved from the Holmedale lake to Sherwood Lake because the ice was too thick to break.

Fishing through the holes in the ice, it was very hard going for the first half of the match.

Winner Mick Langton fished the pole and pinkie over ground bait for small roach, finishing with just 4oz to spare over Nigel Shipman, who was fishing the pole and caster for three perch and bream.
