Opposition viewpoint: Cambridge United’s season has been a real rollercoaster following Football League return

Cambridge United’s season so far has been a rollercoaster in itself.

From being in the play-off positions, to going on a three game losing streak, to beating then top of the league Burton and now be sitting mid table 12 games in to the season.

As a Cambridge fan, you want to watch your club do well after going up from non-league to League Two.

The performances from the team have overall, been very consistent.

The results roughly have reflected how we have played.

Obviously Cambridge United are going into the Mansfield game on a big high having beaten rivals Oxford 5-1 live on Sky Sports, but Cambridge are a team where every game is different.

They will play and adapt a performance to how their opposition are playing. Mansfield have had a similar start to us, only one point behind so anything can happen.

Cambridge’s style of football is very much try and play as much as possible, but making sure whenever there is a chance, taking it.

Mansfield are a very good side with some very good finishers such as Bingham.

The club is on a high at the moment and hopefully we can continue on what has been a very good couple of weeks and overall a good start back in the Football League.
