A NINTH-minute goal from Oliver Trigg was enough for Glapwell to get off the mark for the season as they recorded a single goal victory at Yorkshire Main on Saturday.
The early pressure was created by the home side who hit the bar after only seven minutes, but just two minutes later Glapwell were in front when Mark Robinson and Toby Birch combined well down the right leading to Trigg taping home from close range.
The lead could have been doubled on a couple of occasions, but Toby Birch couldn’t keep his effort down while Trigg flashed an effort past the near post.
The second half saw Glapwell come under increasing pressure and Mark Cooper fired a couple of warnings.
Glapwell had a couple of chances to put the game to bed through Trigg and Josh Goodhand, but in the end they just about held out for a much-needed three points.
