Mansfield Town fans have been venting their frustration at their side’s style of play after last night’s JPT exit at Notts County.
Sections of the 1,386 away fans called for Paul Cox to go and shouted ‘hoof’ throughout the game in reference to the style of play under Cox.
Cox has come under increasing fire following a run of a three games without a win.
Adam Dowsing said on twitter: “Results are what counts. But when you lose playing like that it really is unbearable.
“Fully appreciate everything he has done for us, but the style of football is pushing fans away.”
Stephen Wells said: “It’s not his record being doubted its his style of play, insistance on just hoofing the ball forward to Rhead constantly.
“When you have a family to feed, bills to pay and you pay £22 to watch that you must understand why fans are angry?”
James Williamson added: “Feels like the same conversation we have every season before christmas.”
Stephen Toon wrote: “Give the season a chance to start I spend a bloody fortune travelling from Andover to watch stags and there aint nothing worse than having your match ruined by a few mindless moron plastic fans TURN UP ON MATCHDAY.
