Rainworth MW’s new boss Craig Denton and his management team have finalised the club’s pre-season fixtures.
It includes the annual fixture with Mansfield Town for the Green Energy Trophy, and as last season it will be the Stags’ full first team.
The fixture will be the last pre-season fixture before the season starts for both on the following Saturday, and it will be a perfect opportunity to gauge both team’s prospects for the forthcoming season.
There will be a chance for the Wrens to catch up with several ex-players when they travel to Ollerton Town and host Sherwood Colliery as well as a chance to see new opposition in the form of Dronfield Town.
The list doesn’t get any easier when they play a second Football League side when Chesterfield are the visitors.
Fans who remember Rainworth’s five seasons in the Evo-Stik NPL Division One South will be able to step down memory lane when Lincoln United and Spalding United are the visitors.
Spalding United finished third last season and only lost 2-1 to Witton Albion in the play-off final.
