Midfielder Lee Stevenson took one look at the BSBP table ahead of title-chasing Mansfield Town’s trip to Tamworth tomorrow and admitted: “It’s our to lose now,”
“That was a massive three points. I tend not to look at the table too often but I had a glance after Tuesday’s match and it is looking quite rosy at the minute,” he said.
“A mate of mine keeps ringing asking if he should put a bet on us. It is in our hands at the minute and it’s ours to lose now.
“The season has flown by. It was Christmas two minutes ago but we will be looking at pre-season again in a minute!
“Easter is always a vital time and, with three games in six days it’s going to be a long week away from home. But we have good team spirit and we will stick together.
“We are now having to play three games a week, but it’s the same for everybody, and we hope we can get another three points at Tamworth on Saturday and maybe go top again.
“It’s all about recovery between games now, eating right, and looking after our bodies.
“Tamworth are a good team and it will be a tough game. I see we will be taking more down there than the home fans so it will be a great atmosphere. Our fans can be unbelievable. With everyone behind us, the crowd are our 12th man.”
