Mansfield Town and Alfreton Town were both handed tough FA Cup home ties when today’s FA Cup fourth qualifying round draw was made.
The Stags will be at home to title hopefuls Fleetwood Town, the match expected to take place on Saturday, 29th October.
At the same time Alfreton will face a visit from Lincoln City.
The tie gives Nicky Law’s side the chance to exact early revenge for the 3-1 league defeat last Tuesday.
Lincoln are also Mansfield Town’s opponents tomorrow night when local derby rivalries are renewed at Sincil Bank.
Stags boss Paul Cox has worries over defender Ben Futcher and midfielder Jon Worthington, who both picked up knocks in Saturday’s poor home display when they lost 3-1 to Southport.
Tom Naylor (hamstring) and Anthony Howell (suspended) are already ruled out.
Boss Paul Cox has vowed to strengthen his squad but isn’t sure if anyone can be signed in time for the Lincoln clash.
“Whether I get anyone else in for Lincoln or not I expect a reaction from the players after Saturday,” he said.
“That’s twice we’ve conceded three goals at home and you can’t do that and expect to be successful.
“I want to see a better mindset at Lincoln. I got a response after the Kidderminster defeat away at Wrexham and want the same again. Our next two games are very important.
“But I mustn’t be too damning of them as Saturday was only the third game we’ve lost this season.
“There is no need to press a panic button yet. But I have seen this coming in recent games and want to nip things in the bud.
“That’s why I want to bring in new faces. I still believe the group of players we have here can be successful. I just think the squad needs a bit more depth to it. New faces will give us fresh impetus mentally and physically to get us kick-started again.”
