Mansfield Town will host a visit by Keith Curle’s Carlisle United at One Call Stadium on Saturday, 8th August in the opening game of the new Sky Bet League Two season.

Adam Murray’s team learned their fate when the fixtures for the new campaign were released by the Football League at 9am this morning.

Excitingly, the Stags’ first away game of the season will be the short trip down the road to take on arch rivals Notts County on Saturday, 15th August.

On Boxing Day, supporters will have to make a long journey to the North-West to see Murray’s men in action as they take on Morecambe.

The second local derby of the season against Notts County is scheduled to take place at One Call Stadium on Saturday, 16th April, before the campaign concludes three weeks later with a home game against Cambridge United.

Supporters should note that there are six midweek games – two of which are at home and four of which are away. The midweek away games are at Accrington Stanley (18th Aug), Stevenage (29th Sep), Yeovil Town (20th Oct) and Exeter City (19th Apr).

The Stags’ first visit to The Hive Stadium, new home of Barnet, is pencilled in for Saturday, 28th November, while they visit the other team promoted from the Vanarama Premier, Darrell Clarke’s Bristol Rovers, on Saturday, 12th March.

The last away match of the campaign is at relegated side Leyton Orient on Saturday, 30th April before the season concludes with the visit of Cambridge United on Saturday, 7th May.
