New Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri is expected to bring his full strength Premier League squad to One Call Stadium this Saturday for the mouthwatering pre-season friendly with Mansfield Town.
Ranieri took charge of City for the first time in pre-season away at Lincoln City on Tuesday where the Foxes recorded a 3-1 victory with goals from Riyad Mahrez, Andrej Kramarić and Jamie Vardy and their new signings Christian Fuchs, Shinji Okazaki and Robert Huth all played the opening 45 minutes.
Mansfield Town took a well-earned 1-1 home draw with Milton Keynes Dons at home on Tuesday and boss Adam Murray said he was using both fixtures to work on his side’s defending, discipline and shape without the ball.
Stags fans may get the chance to see summer signing, striker Adi Yussuf, play at home for the first time after he needed an extra week’s training to get over the effects of observing the Ramadan fast.
After the lengthy queues to get into the Dons game, Stags have reminded fans they can buy tickets online at www.stagstickets.co.uk and use the ‘Print at Home’ facility. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Another way to purchase tickets is by coming along to the ticket office, in person, prior to a matchday so you head straight to the turnstiles on matchday.
Tickets for the Leicester visit are £7 across all categories and can be purchased either in advance, online, by calling 01623 482482, or at the ticket office.
Supporters should note that the Quarry Lane End will again be closed.
Tonight (Thursday) Mansfield Town will also send a team to Evo-Stik Premier Division outfit Grantham Town.
The Stags XI, which is expected to be made up of young professionals, will be looking to achieve a good result following recent games away at Carlton Town, Retford United and Solihull Moors.
Kick-off at the South Kesteven Sports Stadium is 7.30pm. Admission prices are £5 adults, £3 concessions, £1 juniors.
