THERE was confusion among Mansfield Town fans on Wednesday evening when Kettering Town reported that Marcus Kelly and Aman Verma had returned to the Poppies and their new caretaker manager Mark Cooper - rather than officially sign for Mansfield Town as the Stags had announced at the start of the duo’s loan deal in November.
In November Mansfield Town said that “the duo arrive at Field Mill on loan until January, and will officially become permanent additions in the New Year when the pair’s 18 month contracts will commence.”
However, tonight a report on Kettering’s official website reported: “Kettering Town can confirm that Marcus Kelly and Aman Verma have returned from their loan spell at Mansfield Town and are available for selction on Saturday.”
Central midfielder Verma and defender/midfielder Kelly have both impressed since joining Paul Cox’s side at Field Mill.
Earlier on Wednesday, full back Kieron Freeman returned to Nottingham Forest after a successful two-month loan spell with the Stags.
