PREMIER League Liverpool at The One Call Stadium is the incentive for Mansfield Town to win their FA Cup with Budweiser replay with Lincoln City later this month.

On Sunday the Stags or Lincoln were paired at home to the world famous Liverpool in the Third Round of the cup - a trophy The Reds have won on seven occasions.

The Stags take on the Imps in the replay on Tuesday 11th December after Saturday’s 3-3 draw at Sincil Bank.

The Third Round tie - which would probably be screened live on television - will be played over the weekend of Saturday 5th January.

The Stags have previously played Liverpool, back in 1970 in the old League Cup. They famously drew 0-0 at Field Mill in September - controversially having a late Dudley Roberts’ ‘goal’ wrongly ruled out - and lost 3-2 in a terrific replay at Anfield later in September 1970.

The Liverpool team included the likes of Ray Clemence, Tommy Smith and Emlyn Hughes.
