Mansfield Town are weighing up whether to sign Sean Kavanagh, according to Stags chief executive Carolyn Radford.

Radford got the rumour mill churning when she posted a picture of Kavanagh on her Facebook profile with the message: “Hmmmm decisions, decisions... shall we sign him?! COYS! x - with John Radford” last night.

Dublin-born Kavanagh is contracted to Fulham until the summer of 2018 and broke in to the first team last season, making 23 appearances, but has found his chances limited this time around at Craven Cottage.

Kavanagh, who has just turned 22, can play in either midfield or at left-back and was due to go out on loan in November before Kit Symons’ dismissal from the Fulham hot seat halted any potential move to find first team football.

He is described on Fulhamfc.com as: “Technically assured and a fine reader of play, it is, Sean Kavanagh’s ability to deliver pin-point crosses that has most regularly got those in attendance talking.

“His progress is even more startling when considering the fact that the 2011/12 season was his first at a professional club. Despite his relative in-experience the youngster has gone from strength-to-strength.”

So Stags fans, should Mansfield make a move for Sean Kavanagh?
