Boss Paul Cox will use the next two friendly matches to decide his starting XI for the opening match of the League Two season.

Cox’s men take on Coventry City at home tomorrow (7.30pm), followed by a trip to Boston United on Saturday (3pm), before their opening showcase against Scunthorpe United on the opening day of the League Two campaign next Saturday.

Speaking yesterday, Cox said: “There is a lot of thought to do in the next 24 hours but with the players we have, we will be capable of putting two decent sides out [against Coventry & Boston].

“At some point I’ll make a decision on a side which will be pretty close to the side which starts on the opening day of the season. Saying that, we still need to bring a striker or two in.”

Asked about his ongoing search for a new front man, Cox hinted that a deal may be close: “We’ve had a look at a number of players and have had a few in on trial. There are a few hoops that both parties have to jump through to make sure we can agree a deal.”

For tonight’s match at home to Coventry, supporters can purchase tickets from the box office up until 7pm, after which point there will be no further ticket sales.

Matchday prices are as follows: £12 Adults, £6 Concessions (Senior Citizens, Students & Under 16’s).

Please be aware that under no circumstances will cash be accepted at the turnstile, so supporters MUST purchase a valid match ticket for this fixture.

Furthermore, allocated seating will also be in operation, so supporters are required to sit in the seat that is printed on their match ticket.
