STAGS boss Paul Cox is backing winger Lindon Meikle to make it as a Football League player following his solid start to life as a full-time player.
The tricky winger has shown good potential so far and has made 26 starts and scored six goals ahead of Tuesday night’s match with Cambridge since his summer move to Field Mill.
And since that transfer Meikle has become a firm favourite with the Field Mill fans for his trademark workrate.
“Lindon has a lot of characteristics I like as both a player and a person,” he said.
“He works so hard and is full of energy. The fans of Mansfield are traditional working class and pay their hard earned money to come and watch the club. One thing they will always expect is the players to be honest and that is one thing you will always get from Lindon.
“He is still learning and working on his game. He has made the step up this season and has adapted to it very well. He has a lot of potential and can definately play in the Football League.”
